Nokialainen, turvaa selustasi ja liity liittoon!

Niiden nokialaisten, jotka vielä eivät ole ehtineet liittyä ammattiliittoon, kannattaa tehdä se viimeistään nyt. Hae oma liittosi Ylemmät Toimihenkilöt YTN:n sivuilta. LINKKI: http://www.ytn.fi/index.php?page_id=204

Ylempien toimihenkilöiden ammattiliittojen viritetty koneisto palvelee monin tavoin muutostilanteissa. Lisäksi YTN-liiton työssä käyvät jäsenet ovat IAET-työttömyyskassan tai jonkun muun työttömyyskassan jäseniä. Työttömyyskassan jäsenet ovat oikeutettuja ansiosidonnaiseen työttömyysturvaan, jos kassan jäsenyys on kestänyt 34 kalenteriviikkoa. Kun liittyy liittoon ja työttömyyskassaan viimeistään maanantaina 9.5. eli heti äitienpäivän jälkeen, työssäoloehto ennättää täyttyä tämän vuoden loppuun mennessä.

Nokia on luvannut, että vähennyssuunnitelmien kohteena olevat työntekijät voivat pysyä Nokian palkkalistoilla vuoden 2011 loppuun saakka.

Pisimmillään työssäoloehto voi täyttyä 28 kuukauden aikana, sillä tarkastelujakso ulottuu vuoden 2008 alkuun asti.

YTN:n ylempien toimihenkilöiden kattava luottamusmiesverkosto Nokiassa käy yt-neuvotteluja, joissa Nokian johto pyrkii 1 400 nokialaisten irtisanomiseen ja mahdollisesti noin 1 500 Suomessa työskentelevän nokialaisen ulkoistamiseen Accenturelle. YTN tukee luottamusmiehiä näissä neuvotteluissa muun muassa tarjoamalla asiamiesten ja juristien asiantuntija-apua.

YTN ja sen jäsenliitot esittäytyvät nokialaisille Nokian toimipisteiden auloissa 10.5.–11.5. Tampereella, 12.5. Salossa, 19.–20.5. Oulussa ja 24.–25.5. pääkaupunkiseudulla. Kysy tarkemmin omalta luottamusmieheltäsi!

Nokia employee? Watch your back and join the union!

If you work at Nokia and haven’t joined the union yet, then it’s high time you did, for your own sake. You can find your union through the website of the Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff – YTN at http://www.ytn.fi/index.php?page_id=303

The specialised system of trade unions for senior salaried employees provides a wide range of valuable services at times of change. Members of YTN-affiliated unions are also eligible for membership of the IAET and other unemployment funds.

Unemployment fund members are entitled to earnings-linked unemployment benefits after their work and fund membership have continued for 34 weeks. By joining the union and unemployment fund no later than Monday 9 May, you will become eligible for benefits by the end of this year.

Nokia has given an undertaking to continue employing staff affected by downsizing plans until the end of 2011.

The maximum tracking period for fund membership and full-time work used in determining eligibility for benefits is 28 months.

An extensive network of elected senior salaried employee representatives in YTN unions has been engaged in co-operation negotiations with Nokia, as the management of the Corporation seeks to dismiss 1,400 staff and possibly also to outsource thework of a further 1,500 employees in Finland to Accenture.

The support provided by YTN for staff representatives engaged in these negotiations includes detailed advice from lawyers and other experienced specialists.

YTN and its affiliates are arranging introductory meeting events for Nokia employees in the foyer of Nokia offices on 10–11 May in Tampere, 12 May in Salo, 19–20 May in Oulu and 24–25 May in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Details of these events are available from your local staff representative.
